The institute was originally set up as the education arm of McKinnon Sports Medicine employing a team of sports medicine consultants including Doctors, Dietitians and Exercise Physiologists, offering lectures, workshops, seminars for the sporting community at the elite and club level. Over the years the IHF has developed into one of the largest privately owned nutrition consultancy service in Australia. The Institute of Health and Fitness at McKinnon Sports Medicine is proud to be involved with providing the Certificate III & IV courses in Fitness. Over the past decade McKinnon Sports Medicine has been providing the highest quality of training for people wishing to become qualified Fitness Instructors and Personal trainers, as well as offering our CEC/PD program with great client/student satisfaction. This client/student satisfaction comes from the fact that McKinnon Sports Medicine, and now through its training and education arm, the Institute of Health and Fitness takes pride in your education. We believe we can offer something special to these courses as the Lecturers that we employ to teach the courses are all experts in their field, with the majority of our lecturers completing a minimum of 5 years of tertiary education.
