Certificate II in Security Operations
Interested in becoming a Security Officer in Queensland? This course covers everything you need to know to apply for your Security Officer (Unarmed) licence and work in Airports, Shopping Centres, Retail Loss Prevention, Power Stations, Corporate Security, Building Sites, Industrial Sites, Patrols and much more.
Now with a FREE Crowd Controller Upgrade you will also learn the skills to become a licensed Crowd Controller and work in Pubs, Night Clubs, Concerts, Major Events and other functions.
Our comprehensive training program includes an introduction to the private security industry, legal studies, ethical standards, performance management, team work, communication skills, risk management, incident management, reporting, security officer duties and responsibilities, crowd controller responsibilities, defensive techniques and first aid. This program incorporates a combination of theory and practice through presentations, group discussions, role plays and self paced learning.
CERTIFICATE II IN SECURITY OPERATIONS - SECURITY OFFICER (UNARMED)
PARTIAL CERTIFICATE III IN SECURITY OPERATIONS - CROWD CONTROLLER (FREE UPGRADE)
On successful completion of this program, participants will be provided with a Certificate II in Security Operations, First Aid Certificate and may apply to the Office of Fair Training for a Security Officer (Unarmed) / Crowd Controller Licence.
Must be 18 years or age or older and have had no criminal convictions in previous 10 years to be eligible for a Security Providers Licence. Note: Driving offences (eg. speeding, drink driving, etc) are not normally disqualifying offences.
The Office of Fair Trading charge $438.25 to apply for a Security Providers Licence and Criminal History Check. This is not included in the course fee. You cannot gain employment as a Security Officer or Crowd Controller until you have received your licence (approx 3 - 4 weeks after application).
Face to Face - 6 days in class (Monday to Saturday). Classes are conducted from 8.45am to 4.30pm.
