Course Outline The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care prepares students for employment in Early Childhood Services. During the course, students are required to undertake practical placements which includes a min of 120hrs with children under the age of 2, so they may gain experiences required to allow the student to successfully complete the on the job requirements of this qualification.

A Career in Child Care A career in Early Childhood is extremely rewarding. You assume responsibility for nurturing the growth, development and education of children, from birth to 5 years. An assistant Educator assists in the social, emotional, physical and educational developmental needs of infants and young children in early childhood services. They manage children's behavior and guide their social development appropriately. They assist in preparing materials and equipment for educational and recreational activities. They educate children by reading and singing to them, as well as playing games, craft and other playful activities. This is also a popular qualification for those working as nannies and running playgroups.
