Course Duration
Full time study: This course can be conducted over a full time period, however departments and agencies may undertake a series of four - 2 to 3 day phase operational training in clusterd units .
Part time study: Minimum of 5-15 hours per week over approximatley 52 weeks.
The duration of your course is dependent upon the hours that you dedicate to your studies. This is a competency based course, however it is expected that on a full time basis you can complete one unit per week.
Course Delivery
This course may be delivered via distance using both elearning & paper resources, or in conjunction with operational face to face workshops.

Due to the specialist nature of this course, you must be working within a Government or Local Government organisation or have written approval from the Director of Government & Public Safety at Conwal & Associate to undertake this qualification.
If you are not currently working in Government, you will be required to complete the core units in this qualification first allowing you to gain and appreciate the theoretical understanding of the Australian Government, legislation, departmental diversity and its processes.
Once you have completed the core units you will then commence the elective Government Investiagtion units completing this exciting and dynamic career changing course.
Completion of this course will involve specialist training, skills and knowledge.
All non-Government applicants must ensure that they obtain a currentNational Police Clearance , within 30 days of enrolment and forward a Justice of the Peace (JP) certified copy of the Police clearance to Conwal & Associates.
Recognition (RPL) & Accreditation
Operational Officers and Government Staff can be Assessed either by Recognition of Prior Learning, Recognition of Current Competency Assessment.
Assessment can occur either by Recognition of Prior Learning, Recognition of Current Competency or Assessment only. this is available to State and Federalagencies, departments, Police services and the ADF Investigation Services
Practical operational training workshop assessments may also be conducted upon approved from the director of Government & Public safety.
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a Nationally Accredited and ISO certified Certificate IV in Government (Investigations).
