The Master of Workplace Injury Management and Occupational Rehabilitation by coursework program will provide students with the opportunity to undertake study in injury management, occupational rehabilitation and related topics. This postgraduate program is designed to develop advanced knowledge, critical understanding and problem solving approaches to the complex range of issues and processes associated with practice in Workplace Injury Management and Occupational Rehabilitation. Students will, in many cases, be working in a variety of roles within this area, for example case managers, project officers, rehabilitation consultants and coordinators, injury management consultants and injury claims consultants.

Recommended Studies Bachelor degree in one of the following; Human Movement, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Health and Safety, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Applied Science in a health or disability related field or other qualifications approved for this purpose by the Pro Vice-Chancellor with advice from the Program Convenor. Credit Transfer Credit maybe granted for up to 20 units for relevant post graduate courses completed within the past 5 years, as determined by the PVC with advice from the Program Convenor. Professional Accreditation Professionals can seek continuing education points from their respective professional bodies from completion of this program and parts there of. International Students This program is available to offshore International students only. International Students must meet the minimum requirements for English consistent with University Policy. As this program is to be offered distance mode support with access and resources, for example Blackboard, will be provided by administrative and information technology staff. Blackboard will also enable electronic tutorial support to be provided. Additional Information The program is offered by online mode, and learning materials will be both paper based and electronic. Internet access is required for online components of some courses. The Master of Workplace Injury Management and Occupational rehabilitation is an 80 unit program requiring students to study 60 units of prescribed courses and 20 units of electives.
Students with prior postgraduate studies may be eligible for credit transfer of a maximum of 20 units (2 courses).
