Course Duration: You will have up to 12 months to complete the assessments for this course. As there are no fixed semesters or training dates, you can start training at any time throughout the year.

Nominal Hours: The course has nominal study load of 294 hours. This equals approximately 6 hours per week over 12 months, but you can work at your own pace and complete the course faster if you wish!

Course Units: The Certificate IV in Human Resources BSB41013 is comprised of 10 units – 6 core units and 4 electives. Our Certificate IV in HR elective units have been carefully chosen to ensure they meet the needs of a wide range of jobs requiring human resources skills.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): RPL is available to any learner who can provide evidence of competency for the units offered within the qualification. 

Entry Requirements

There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification, however it is preferred that students:

  • Are 18 years or older
  • Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English and Maths, or equivalent)
  • Hold a Certificate III in Business OR some relevant industry experience
  • Have basic computer skills preferably with Microsoft Word and Excel

It is ideal if students can access a workplace to complete workplace-based assessments. Where students do not have access to a workplace, they may complete these assessments using simulated workplace activities included with the course.
