FREE Course Info

Delivery: Online
Full Cost: $65

To work in the construction industry in Queensland you must first successfully complete a general safety induction course recognised by Queensland law; this is known as the White Card. Under Queensland health and safety laws, any person entering onto a construction site and/or performing construction work in Queensland must have successfully completed this course before they enter and/or commence work in any construction activity.  The maximum penalty for not having your White Card (in QLD) is $3,000 or 30 penalty units and for permitting a person to work at a construction site without a White Card the maximum penalty is $11,000. The aim of the General Safety Induction (White Card) is to provide initial basic health and safety education to all persons working within the building and construction industry. OCA offers this course online, saving you time and money. Upon successful completion you will be issued with a White Card which will be mailed out to you within 2 working days.
