Anyone who still thinks that an accountant is a guy with a green visor and a pencil stuck behind his ear hasn’t looked at many recent job descriptions. Salaries for accountants range from $35,000 to $200,000 reflecting the wide range of jobs which fall under the umbrella term accountant. At the lower end are the clerks and assistants with basic training; while at the upper end are audit and risk accountants and insolvency accountants.
