Enhance your work with the elderly with our Certificate IV in Aged Care.

If you are working in aged care, this course will equip you with the skills, knowledge and ethical attributes to work at an advanced level.

You will be ready to undertake direct client work, community development or community health promotion and engage in programs supporting families, individuals and social groups.

Pre requisites

Candidates must be recognised as competent in the following six (6) units, from CHC30212 Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent), prior to enrolling in this course:

  • CHCAC319A Provide support to people living with dementia
  • CHCCS411C Work effectively in the community sector
  • CHCAC318B Work effectively with older people
  • CHCICS303A Support individual health and emotional well being
  • CHCPA301B Deliver care services using a palliative approach
  • HLTAP301B Recognise healthy body systems in a health care context

Units of Study

There are 15 units to be completed in this aged care qualification - 10 core and five (5) elective units in accordance with the packaging rules.
